It means the data is encrypted so that only you can read it - not even we can. The trade-off is real: if you lose your key, the data cannot be recovered, so keep it somewhere safe.

No. The Keep holds and shares your records; it does not tell you what to do with them. For anything legal, speak to a solicitor.
What happens if I lose my key?
The data cannot be recovered. Zero-knowledge means there is no back door, for anyone, including us. Keep the key somewhere safe.
Is it a subscription? Do I need an app?
Yes, monthly or yearly, and you choose which at checkout. Either one renews until you stop it, and you can cancel any time from your account. It uses no credits. No app to install. You sign in on the web, on any phone or computer, and The Keep is there from the first day.
