Privacy Policy
Your data is your data. We collect the minimum needed to run this site and deliver what you ask for, and we never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Who we are
Marcus Cole is a writer’s brand for men going through divorce, loneliness, and starting over, operated by QANT Pty Ltd (ACN 088 738 943), registered in Australia. This policy covers the Marcus Cole websites at marcuscole.me and members.marcuscole.me. Nothing here constitutes medical, psychological, legal, or therapeutic advice. For any privacy enquiry, email marcus@marcuscole.me.
What we collect
On this website specifically, we collect very little:
- Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email, and message you submit so we can reply.
- Aggregate analytics. We use a first-party signal, sent to this site’s own address, to understand which pages are read. It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and is not used to identify you individually.
Purchases are made on this website at checkout, where payment is handled securely by Stripe - we never see or store your card details. Your account and the products you have bought then live on the separate member portal at members.marcuscole.me.
How we use it
Contact-form details are used only to respond to you. Analytics are used only in aggregate to improve the site. We do not profile you, run advertising pixels, or use your information for any purpose beyond operating this site, sending what you asked for, and replying to you.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Limited data is shared only with the infrastructure needed to operate - our publishing platform (QANT) to deliver your message, Cloudflare to serve and protect the site, and Stripe for any payment on the member portal - and only where required by Australian law.
Security & storage
The technical side - where your data is stored, how it’s secured, and how long it’s kept - is handled by QANT, the platform that publishes this site. If you’d like that detail, you can read QANT’s full privacy and security policy at qant.au/privacy. It covers the infrastructure behind this site for anyone who wants to look.
The Keep - zero-knowledge by design
The Keep, our secure vault for the documents and passwords you store during a separation, is zero-knowledge: your content is encrypted on your device with a key only you hold, so neither we nor the platform can read it. The trade-off is real and deliberate - if you lose your key, the data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. Sharing with a third party (such as a solicitor) grants access only to what you choose, and you can revoke it at any time.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Email marcus@marcuscole.me and we’ll action it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
